# Balls al Carrer kicks off its 2026-2027 season: 17 weekends of regional dances in four squares

The fallero calendar brings back one of its long-running traditions: the **29th Balls al Carrer Festival** returns on **Sunday 18 October** and will run until **25 April 2027**. The itinerant circuit, organised by the **Fallas Department** and the **Junta Central Fallera**, brings together more than a hundred fallas commissions in **17 weekends** with **175 performances** of regional dances spread across four squares in the historic centre: **Fueros, la Merced, la Reina and Manises**.

Each participating commission gets a **20-minute slot**, running from about **10:00 am to 2:30 pm**, with performances cancelled in case of rain or very unfavourable forecasts. The festival starts just five days after the Proclamation of the Falleras Mayores of València 2027 and right after a big week of Fallas events — the Telefonada, the fireworks symposium and Una Festa Per A Tots: an October in which the fiesta already looks, with the dances, towards the long season that culminates in March.

The event is also a classic on the commissions' calendar: every weekend, different fallas take turns showing jotes, valencianas and stick dances in front of locals and visitors. The 29th Festival keeps its usual format: free entry, four stages in the heart of the city and six months of Saturdays and Sundays flavoured with traditional dress and dolçaina music.
