Less than 48 hours before the Telefonada, the 26 candidates for Falleras Mayores of València 2027 completed this Saturday the last great ritual before the election: the **rehearsal of the Proclamation** in the Plenary Hall of City Hall. Behind closed doors, and under the watchful eye of the juries and the leadership of the Junta Central Fallera, the hopefuls practised the protocol of climbing the municipal staircase, the most symbolic moment of Wednesday's ceremony. Two of them, chosen at random, played the role of falleras mayores and climbed the steps alone up to the presidential table, according to the reports of Levante-EMV and 7TeleValencia.

The rehearsal, closely supervised by the president of the JCF, Santiago Ballester, also reproduced the pair movements on the staircase by height and the entry into the hall. On Wednesday, the two chosen women will experience the real moment accompanied by the music of the Municipal Band and escorted by the Local Police in gala uniform. The candidates must also prepare the joint speech usually given by the new Fallera Mayor.

The countdown is therefore on: tomorrow, Tuesday 13, from 7:00 pm, Mayor María José Catalá will read the jury's minutes in the Municipal Hemicycle and make the two calls that will turn two of these 26 women and girls into the highest representatives of Fallas 2027. The other 24 will form their courts of honour. The handover, with Wednesday's Proclamation, will mark the start of the new fallero year.
