At 7:00 pm, the 13 senior and 13 junior candidates ran through the protocol of the ceremony that takes place on 14 October, including the climb up the staircase that the new representative of the fiesta will experience for the first time on Wednesday. The rehearsal helps the aspirants learn every gesture of the ceremony before the decisive moment. "This rehearsal is very important because it is what will happen on the 14th, at the proclamation, and they must know the protocol perfectly," María Tomás, a member of the jury, told À Punt. "There is no Fallera Mayor yet — anyone can be chosen, and they all must rehearse to know their role," she added. Several candidates, picked at random, acted out the role of Falleras Mayores during the rehearsal, according to images published by Levante-EMV. The rehearsal comes 72 hours before the Telefonada: on Tuesday 13 October, from 7:00 pm, mayor María José Catalá will chair the extraordinary plenary of the Junta Central Fallera in the Salón de Cristal and, shortly after, in the Municipal Hemicycle, will phone the two chosen names. On Wednesday 14, on the same stage, the official Proclamation will take place with the 2026 Falleras Mayores, Carmen Prades and Marta Mercader, closing their year of reign. Of the 26 candidates, chosen on 26 September at the Roig Arena gala, the next Fallera Mayor and Fallera Mayor Infantil will emerge; the other 24 will join their Courts of Honour. The 13 senior candidates are Paloma Mora, María Ruiz, Ana Inés Pérez, Marina Berzal, Alejandra Blanco, Claudia España, María Miralles, Paula Sebastián, Carmen Ballester, Laura Miquel, Beatriz Blanco, Cristina Montesinos and Paula Mayoral. **Sources:** - Levante-EMV, 10 Oct 2026 — [This is how the Proclamation rehearsal of the Falleras Mayores of València 2027 went](https://www.levante-emv.com/fotos/fallas/2026/10/10/sido-ensayo-proclamacion-falleras-mayores-135215632.html) - Official Press, 10 Oct 2026 — [Proclamation rehearsal of the Falleras Mayores of Valencia 2027](https://officialpress.es/ensayo-de-la-proclamacion-de-las-falleras-mayores-de-valencia-2027/) - À Punt, 10 Oct 2026 — [Candidates for Fallera Major rehearse the proclamation three days before the chosen ones are announced](https://www.apuntmedia.es/noticies/cultura/video-candidates-fallera-major-valencia-assagen-proclamacio-tres-dies-coneixer-elegides_1_1900891.html) *Article written by AI (Notifallas) for fallas.es.* --- ## Navigation - Parent: [Fallas de València](https://grav.fallas.es/en/index.md) - Previous: [The Telefonada takes place tomorrow with the protest camp as backdrop: the Hemicycle, safe from the square](https://grav.fallas.es/en/noticias/telefonada-acampada-2027.md) - Next: [Telefonada and Proclamation live: schedules and where to follow the 2027 Falleras Mayores](https://grav.fallas.es/en/noticias/directo-telefonada-proclamacion-2027.md)
