The Fallas calendar is catching its breath after a weekend under rain alerts and getting back on track. The week of 19-25 October comes with a much better weather forecast, and the programme is filling up again: the play-back contests of the Junta Central Fallera (JCF) kick off, the Teatre Faller goes on, and Sunday starts the recovery of the events the dana Adam left postponed.

Play back arrives with a double helping. Adults compete on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 at 10:00 pm in the Canal hall (Group B category), and on Saturday 24 in the morning the children's category debuts, with commissions such as José Soto Micó-Síndico Mocholí, Escalante-Marina, Náquera-Lauri Volpi or Barrio Beteró. At stake: nominations for awards and promotions. The Teatre Faller, meanwhile, keeps its performances going at the Flumen hall, with third-category shows every night and the children's category joining on Saturday.

Sunday 25 is the big day for recovery. Pending new dates being confirmed during the week, at 4:30 pm the Jardín de Ayora hosts the tribute to the Senyera of the Camins al Grau Agrupació de Falles, the event postponed from 4 October that now closes the banner's cycle. At 10:45 am, Joaquín Costa-Burriana pays tribute to the dolçaina player Joan Blasco in a ceremony that this year becomes a tribute to the Corpus of València: the Dolçaina d'Honor for the Amics del Corpus association, a recreation of the Cabalgata del Convite as a street parade, and dances by Valçaina and the Grup de Danses Alimara.

Sunday morning also brings charity events, with the Sarao Solidario by Guillem de Castro-Triador for Aspau and the charity dansà by Doctor Gil y Morte-Doctor Vila Barberá. During the week the agenda includes project presentations —Doctor Gil y Morte-Dr. Vila Barberá, Castellón-Segorbe, Ingeniero Manuel Soto at Las Naves or Barri de la Llum— and a series of talks on traditional dress at the Tribunal de les Aigües in Quart de Poblet.

After Sunday's pause, the Fallas are back on the streets. And with the Sección Especial already presenting its projects, the 2027 machinery is truly getting moving.
