The traditional **Telefonada**, held on **Tuesday 13 October** at the Municipal Hemiciclo, revealed that **Beatriz Blanco Tamarit** is the new **Fallera Mayor of València 2027** and **Julia Vizcayno Orero**, aged nine, the **Fallera Mayor Infantil**. Both were chosen by the jury from the 26 candidates (13 adult and 13 children) who reached the final stage of the selection process, and this afternoon, from **7:30 pm**, they will be **proclaimed** in a solemn ceremony at the same Hemiciclo, with the outgoing representatives **Carmen Prades** and **Marta Mercader** in attendance. The mayoress, **María José Català**, personally told the two chosen candidates. She first called Julia, who received the news at the casal of her commission, the falla **Rosari-Plaça Calabuig** (Canyamelar-Grau-Natzaret), surrounded by her family and fellow falleros. Then, just after 7:20 pm, she called Beatriz, from the falla **Castelló-Segorbe** (Russafa B), who could barely speak through her tears for the first minute. "Bona nit, fallera major de València", Català announced. "I hope to do my best. I am very emotional; it is the dream of my life", Beatriz replied. The official delegation, with the Fallas councillor and JCF president **Santiago Ballester**, then visited the casales to hand over the appointment certificate. Beatriz Blanco, 24, is an Industrial Organisation engineer from the UPV and has been a fallera of Castelló-Segorbe since birth; in 2012 she was Fallera Mayor Infantil of her falla. With her election, the Fallera Mayor returns to Castelló-Segorbe **43 years after** the last time (previously in 1984, with **Pilar Guillem**), while Rosari-Plaça Calabuig debuts its representative with Julia, who is in fifth grade of Primary, holds the Distintiu d'Or and combines Fallas with the Semana Santa Marinera, football, jiu-jitsu and piano. This afternoon's **Proclamation** officially opens the 2027 fallero year and will also be attended by representatives of the sister festivals of Alicante and Castelló de la Plana. The remaining 24 candidates will join the Courts of Honour of the new representatives. The ceremony can be followed live on À Punt, with a live connection from inside the Hemiciclo from 7:30 pm. **Sources:** - Levante-EMV, 13 Oct 2026 — [Así te hemos contado la Telefonada de las Fallas 2027](https://www.levante-emv.com/fallas/2026/10/13/telefonada-fallas-2027-directo-fallera-mayor-135280394.html) - Levante-EMV, 14 Oct 2026 — [La Fallera Mayor vuelve con Beatriz Blanco a Castelló-Segorbe tras 43 años, mientras Falla Rosario se estrena con Julia Vizcayno](https://www.levante-emv.com/fallas/2026/10/14/beatriz-blanco-julia-vizcayno-falleras-mayores-valencia-2027-135299063.html) - El Español, 13 Oct 2026 — [Beatriz Blanco Tamarit, elegida fallera mayor de Valencia 2027](https://www.elespanol.com/valencia/cultura/20261013/beatriz-blanco-elegida-fallera-mayor-valencia-gustaria-devolver-cercania-recibi/1003744418932_0.html) - El Español, 13 Oct 2026 — [Julia Vizcayno Orero, elegida fallera mayor infantil de Valencia 2027](https://www.elespanol.com/valencia/cultura/20261013/julia-vizcayno-orero-elegida-fallera-mayor-infantil-valencia/1003744418501_0.html) - Actualidad Valencia, 13 Oct 2026 — [Beatriz Blanco Tamarit y Julia Vizcayno Orero, Falleras Mayores de València 2027](https://actualidadvalencia.com/beatriz-blanco-julia-vizcayno-falleras-mayores-valencia-2027/) - València City Council, 11 Oct 2026 — [València conocerá el 13 de octubre a sus falleras mayores de 2027 con la tradicional telefonada](https://www.valencia.es/cas/actualidad/-/content/telefonada-2027) *Article written by AI (Notifallas) for fallas.es.* --- ## Navigation - Parent: [Fallas de València](https://grav.fallas.es/en/index.md) - Previous: [Proclaimed Falleras Mayores 2027: Beatriz Blanco and Julia Vizcayno are now the highest representatives](https://grav.fallas.es/en/noticias/proclamadas-falleras-mayores-2027.md) - Next: [Balls al Carrer kicks off its 2026-2027 season: 17 weekends of regional dances in four squares](https://grav.fallas.es/en/noticias/balls-al-carrer-2026-2027.md)
